Attica! is the fifth album from Cincinnati’s Wussy. These eleven new tracks were recorded with old Afghan Whigs pal John Curley at Cincinnati’s legendary Ultrasuede Studios. John Erhardt comes on board as a fifth member on this album, joining forces with former Ass Ponys bandmate Chuck Cleaver, Lisa Walker, Mark Messerly and Joe Klug, adding some Dark-Side-inspired pedal steel, lending a further psychedelic smear to Wussy’s ever-developing swirl of Ohio drone. Attica! is the band’s both loudest and quietest record to date, finding co-leaders Cleaver and Walker at their lyrical best.. and Wussy as a whole at their weirdest and finest.
