One of the most iconic and influential albums of all time, Pink Floyd's The Dark Side Of The Moon now celebrates its 50th anniversary! Primarily developed during live performances with the band premiering an early version of the suite several months before they entered the studio, the group's eighth album was recorded in two sessions in 1972 and 1973 at EMI Studios (now Abbey Road studios) in London and originally released in March 1973. The iconic album packaging, which depicts a prism spectrum, was designed by Hipgnosis' Storm Thorgerson. The Dark Side Of The Moon has sold over a staggering 50 million copies worldwide.

This new 50th anniversary super deluxe box set comprises nine discs (vinyl 2LP + 2 x 7" + 2CD + 2Blu-ray + DVD), a 160 page hardcover book and 76 page songbook plus some collectible Pink Floyd ephemera. The album has been newly remastered and in addition to CD and vinyl versions there will be 5.1 surround and Dolby Atmos mixes on Blu-ray disc along with 5.1 surround and stereo mixes on DVD. Also included will be a 1974 performance of Dark Side of the Moon recorded at Wembley's Empire Pool in London available on vinyl for the first time as well as a CD that was previously only available as part of the 2011 Immersion Box Set.
