Pat Benatar is an American singer, songwriter, and actress, best known for her powerful mezzo-soprano voice and a string of hit singles in the 1980s. Born Patricia Mae Andrzejewski on January 10, 1953, in Brooklyn, New York, she rose to fame with her debut album In the Heat of the Night in 1979, which included the hit single "Heartbreaker." Benatar is a four-time Grammy Award winner and has produced numerous hits such as "Hit Me with Your Best Shot," "Love Is a Battlefield," "We Belong," and "Shadows of the Night."
