Olé Coltrane was the final album recorded by John Coltrane under contract with Atlantic Records. Borrowing it's flair and texture from Spanish-derived folk songs and an increased interest in African forms, this mono version of Olé Coltrane celebrates its 65th Anniversary in 2026.
Newly broken out as a standalone LP from the forthcoming Rhino High-Fidelity box set entitled John Coltrane: 1960-1964, all lacquers are AAA cut directly from the mono tapes by Kevin Gray and pressed on 180-gram vinyl by Optimal, with meticulous detailing on the album packaging that includes glossy covers and "tip-on" jackets.
