Hooteroll? is a brilliantly open-ended jazz-rock fusion set from Howard Wales and Jerry Garcia, built on instinct, movement and fearless improvisation. It’s a record where jazz, psychedelic rock, blues, funk and progressive sounds meet in loose, fluid pieces shaped by chemistry rather than conventional song structures.

With inventive keyboard lines from Wales and expressive, melodic guitar playing from Garcia, the album thrives on spontaneous interplay. They’re joined by John Kahn, Bill Vitt and Martin Fierro, whose contributions help make this one of Garcia’s most experimental and influential side projects.
