Forerunners of the punk rock and power pop genres, The Flamin' Groovies were probably the best American rock band that should've, but didn't, hit the big time... Teenage Head remains their crowning achievement. Released the same year as The Rolling Stone's classic album Sticky Fingers, Mick Jagger reportedly noticed the similarities between the two albums and stated that the Flamin' Groovies did the better job.
