Elvis Presley, the all time biggest music star needs little introduction. He was, of course, The King of Rock & Roll. Elvis was also a film star. He had already achieved his first big musical hits when he followed the path marked by his idols James Dean and Marlon Brando. Colonel Tom Parker pulled some strings and got him a screen test for Paramount Pictures. Next step was a contract with Hal Wallis and soon Elvis first film, Love Me Tender, was released. Throughout his career Elvis would appear in more than 30 movies and several TV shows. The present LP compiles some of the best tracks from the soundtracks of his early movies, those filmed between 1956 and 1960: Love Me Tender (1956), Loving You (1957), Jailhouse Rock (1957), King Creole (1958) and G.I. Blues (1960). This album features The King of Rock & Roll at his best in splendid musical productions that range from ballads to frantic rock and roll.
