There's probably no more aptly titled punk album out there than this one. Along with signaling the departure of singer Milo Aukerman, Milo Goes To College is packed with excellent, short but sweet songs that tackle life, love, girls, losers, and, of course, food. The band takes pieces of pop hooks, punk and hardcore thrash, and whatever else they want to craft an album that is as unpretentious as it is catchy. The songs are melodic and pop flavored while providing a little bitter resentment in the lyrics. The album would go on to influence a slew of Southern California punk bands.
