Gone With Golson was originally released in 1959 and is saxophonist Benny Golson’s fifth album. A great example of the hard-bop genre, the album includes four Golson compositions, plus “Staccato Swing” by Ray Bryant, who plays on the album, and the jazz standard “Autumn Leaves.” This new edition of the album is released as part of the Original Jazz Classics Series on 180-gram vinyl pressed at RTI with all-analog mastering from the original tapes at Cohearent Audio and a Stoughton Tip-On Jacket.
